Carrot…bacon? Yep, we know, sounds almost unbelievable… In reality, these are deliciously crisp, smoky-sweet maple flavoured carrot bites that taste as good as they sound!

Ingredients

Directions

  • Wash and peel the carrots. Then, grate into long, wide strips and place to one side.
  • To make the marinade, in a wide flat dish mix together the liquid smoke, olive oil, garlic oil, maple syrup, paprika, cayenne pepper and salt. Coat the carrot strips in the marinade then leave to sit for 5 mins.
  • Once marinaded, lay out the carrot strips onto the wire rack, making sure they don’t overlap too much. Bake for 5 mins until crispy and golden.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Remove them from the rack before they cool, otherwise they will stick!
