Important Updates to Our Local Deliveries (From 18th January 2022)

100% Electric Van - Local Deliveries

To help further improve our service, we are making some changes to our local deliveries.

Over the last year we have been growing our small business and learning all the time. We now have a much better idea of the maximum distance our electric van can achieve (on a single charge), ways we can further improve our green credentials and what our customers want from our service.

In order to make our local deliveries as efficient and environmentally friendly as possible, as well as due to the increase in operational costs (such as electricity for our van, packaging and staff), we will be introducing a new more refined delivery schedule as well as a minimum spend of £25 for FREE delivery. Although there will continue to be no minimum spend for orders, we are introducing a small delivery charge for orders below this amount of £2.95.

Our new schedule will offer our customers a shorter time slot (of 2 hours instead of 3 hours) and also same day delivery as standard, with our ‘order by time’ being changed to 11 am the same day instead of 11 pm the night before.

The schedule changes below, as well as the minimum spend for free delivery, will come into effect from Tuesday 18th January 2022. Any orders placed before this date but for delivery after this date will be contacted as soon as possible to re-arrange delivery in line with the new schedule (minimum spend not applicable for these orders).

For those that require their order more urgently we will still continue to offer our ‘Express Local’ option (for an additional fee), giving you the ability to choose any day of the week for delivery (subject to availability).

What if I need to add to my order?

If you need to make any changes to your order, please email us at help@postalpantry.co.uk before the 11am cutoff and we will send you a payment link for any additional items you may require.

Why are you no longer offering morning slots?

At the moment to ensure our routes are as efficient as possible and to be able to offer same day delivery, we are not going to be offering any morning slots at the moment. Once our evening slots reach capacity, we may look into introducing morning slots again. However if you are not likely to be in at the time of delivery, please let us know in the order notes of your desired safe place.
